Edwin Sulca, one of the most prominent weavers of Ayacucho, is part of a family of weavers. His grandfather rediscovered the ancient technique called “punto arwi” used to create the beautiful textiles of the Paracas culture. Sulca’s weavings integrate the patterns of traditional Andean symbols and designs to express his deep connection to the history and stories of his people.
