BEL CICA
Bel Cica was born and raised in the old neighborhood of the Pelourinho before it was a popular tourist destination. Since the late-1980s, Bel and her husband Paulo Cica have made and sold paintings to tourists visiting the Pelourinho. She can be found almost daily on Rua Alfredo Brito near the top of the Pelourinho square — typically sitting on a collapsible wooden stool painting diligently and surrounded by her recent work.
