A native of the small city of Maragujipe 200 km. from Salvador on the Bay of All Saints, Didito paints landscapes and small town life of the Reconcavo. Like the small towns themselves, Didito’s paintings are bursting with life and color. Many of his earlier paintings depict ceremonies of Candomblé with detailed representations of the costumes and attributes of the orixás.
