LYDIA HORA
Lydia Hora, one of the few women painters of the Pelourinho, has for years chosen as her principle subject matter the restored buildings of the Pelourinho, with their colorful facades and fascinating perspectives. She often paints the lively street scenes replete with Baianas and capoeristas and sellers of acarajé, a beancake fried in dende oil.
