MÃE DETINHA DE XANGÔ
For the past 25 years, Detinha has been making exquisitely crafted dolls of the orixás, which she has sold at the Instituto Mauá and at the small shop at Axé Opo Afonjá. Detinha developed patterns for the dolls and has since taught approximately 20 others, including members of her own family who assist her in making the beautiful orixá dolls for which she has become well known.
